The 2025 World First-Class Journals list was unveiled at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Pujiang Innovation Forum on September 12. Eleven English-language scientific journals published by Tsinghua University Press (TUP) were selected for the list: Nano Research, Building Simulation, Tsinghua Science and Technology, Journal of Advanced Ceramics, Friction, Communications in Transportation Research, Computational Visual Media, Big Data Mining and Analytics, Nano Research Energy, Experimental and Computational Multiphase Flow, and Avian Research.
Compiled by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China in collaboration with relevant research institutions, the list is based on a comprehensive evaluation drawing on the World Science Citation Database and an evaluation indicator system for world-class scientific and technological journals. The assessment adopts a four-dimensional framework covering academic organizational capacity, academic leadership, academic influence, and social influence, supported by nine specific evaluation indicators. The 2025 list includes 6,132 scientific and technological journals from 55 countries and regions, published in 23 languages, among which 353 journals are from China, accounting for 5.8% of the total.
