On November 3, QIU Xianqing, President of Tsinghua University Press(TUP), visits the Hunan Xinhua Bookstore Group in Changsha, Hunan Province. This visit aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the wholesale and retail market for textbooks in Hunan Province, and to strengthen the business ties between TUP and the Hunan Xinhua Bookstore. LIANG Ying, Director of the Distribution Dept., LI Yuming, Deputy Director of the Distribution Dept, and ZHANG Fan, Distribution Manager of the Central China Region from TUP are also present during the visit. OnOctober 27, CNKI released the 2023 Annual Report for International Citationof Chinese Academic Journals, and announced the lists for "MostInfluential Chinese Academic Journals Worldwide" and "Excellent ChineseAcademic Journals with Global Impact". A total of 8 TUP journals, namely NanoResearch, Journal of Advanced Ceramics, Big Data Mining and Analytics, Friction, Tsinghua Science and Technology, Building Simulation, Computational Visual Media and Astrodynamics, were named “MostInfluential Chinese Academic Journals Worldwide”. This demonstrates that theacademic influence of TUP’s English STEM journals has increased rapidly, and theywere increasingly recognized by the academic community.

On 16 October 2023, the newly electedSTM Board Members were announced at the Annual General Meeting. OnNovember 2, the China Association for Science and Technology issued the listfor high-starting new journals under the Excellent Chinese STEM Journals ActionPlan of 2023. A total of 49 journals entered the shortlist after strict panelreview and defense process. Two journals from TUP, i.e. Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles and iLABMED, were listed among them.
